Born and raised in California, Tim Connolly is an actor, filmmaker and musician who fell in love with movies when he saw Jaws and Halloween at far too young of an age. It's been a disaster ever since! His films are known for their signature sense of humor and wit, with a touch of campy fun.
His first film, The Rental, is a home-made slasher that currently sits at over 300k views on YouTube. Its successor, Mystery Solved, was a campy whodunnit that won multiple festival awards in 2022, including Best Feature Film & Audience Choice Film (Queer Fear Film Festival) and Best of the Fest (FANtastic Horror Film Fest).
Black Theta is his strongest, funniest and darkest film yet, keeping with the queer slasher/comedy theme, but taking the experience to a whole new level. Its San Diego premiere screening opened to a raucous, sold-out crowd, and it will be screening at festivals soon.
